    Description

Rare German Jingle All The Way movie watch in original tin, never used. The movie was called A Promise is a Promise in Germany as I found out on Google. I pasted a description below that I found there. The watch has a silver colored face and the hands are marked Versprochen and it has the 20th Century Fox logo under the hands. Original blue leather band with small dots on it. The back of the watch is marked City-Uhren Germany. I had a new battery put in it and it is running great. It also has 24 hour markers on the face. Very nice hard to find watch.

The film is about Howard Langston, a businessman and family man who promised his neglected son Jamie that he would get a
    Turbo-Man
    , the latest
    action figure
from a popular children's TV series, for
    Christmas
    .
Since he forgot to get the figurine, he rushes through
    Minneapolis
    and
    St. Paul
    on Christmas Day
to find such a figurine, but finds out that they are sold out everywhere.
In his desperate search for just one Turbo-Man figure, he gets unwanted competition from the somewhat crazy
    postman
Myron, who has also promised his son a Turbo-Man.
In addition, Howard meets toy counterfeiters and a police officer named Hummel, who is chasing after him with increasing eagerness (especially since Howard always has a mishap at their encounters at Hummel's expense).
Again and again Howard seems so close to the goal of getting the coveted figure, and yet the chance slips away again at the last moment.
There is also danger from his neighbor Ted, a womanizer who tries to get on Howard's wife Liz.
In the end, when Howard has to flee from Hummel again, he is mistaken for a substitute
    stuntman
, unceremoniously forced into a Turbo Man costume, and takes part in a
    Christmas
    parade disguised
    ;
he can give a boy an exclusive
    Turbo-Man
    as a present.
Howard decides in favor of his son, but Myron
    intervenes disguised
    as Turbo-Man's adversary
    Dementor
    .
There is a mad skirmish between the two competitors for the character.
In the end, Howard saves his son's life and Myron is arrested, but Jamie surrenders his character to Myron because he and his father are a "real"
    turbo man
    at home.
However, Christmas Eve ends with a new horror for Howard: he forgot the present for his wife!
